Many people need tools other than oral speech (talking) in order to get their messages across clearly, reliably, and efficiently. For these individuals, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems, either high tech or light tech, can be a useful communication tool. For many families, though, the world of AAC can seem a bit mysterious or intimidating. 

Join DSAW as Olen Bowen-Graham M.S. CCC-SLP provides a broad view of AAC, and provide some specific ideas and examples of how AAC systems can fit into the communication toolboxes of individuals with Down Syndrome. Followed by a Q&A session.
