Ear Tubes: When does a child need them? Live Q&A inside the OR

Join Children's Hospital of Wisconsin for the following live video stream:
Stream will take place on Wednesday, January 11th at 2:30pm on the CHW Facebook Page.

While ear tube placement is one of the most common surgical procedures done for children, it’s important for parents to recognize there is no such thing as a minor surgery — especially in kids. If a child has frequent ear infections or has hearing or speech problems related to fluid and infections in the ears, surgical insertion of an ear tube by a pediatric ENT specialist may be considered.

Watch our Facebook Live broadcast Jan. 11 at 2:30 pm to get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at one of our operating rooms and learn about ear tube placement and the specialized surgical care we provide to infants, children and teens who have problems with their ears, noses or throats (ENT). During this live broadcast, Dr. Cecille Sulman and Dr. Steven Butz will show you around the operating room, discuss ear tube and ENT surgical care, describe how we administer anesthesia to kids safely and answer your questions during a live Q&A.

Dr. Sulman is a pediatric ENT specialist and Dr. Butz is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.
