Join your DSAW friends for a "snowcially" distant meet up at the Dan Jensen Family Fest Ice Rink at Konkel Park! This event is totally FREE and a great opportunity to enjoy the winter weather and interact with loved ones and friends. There is a warming area and concessions available during hours of operation.
PLEASE NOTE: This event is weather dependent. I will be monitoring rink closures and notifying participants ASAP, but to get the most up-to-date information, please follow Greenfield Parks & Recreation Ice Rink Facebook Group, (@gfwiparksrec) or call this hotline at (414) 297-9008 for a recorded message.
When: Sunday, February 21 from 12-2 PM (arrive right at 12 PM to get on the ice first!)
Where: The Dan Jansen Family Fest Ice Rink is located in Konkel Park near the north shelter in Greenfield, WI ( 5151 W. Layton Avenue, Greenfield, Wisconsin)
Cost: FREE (Konkel Ice Rink has free admission and Ice skate rentals. If you have your own skates, we suggest bringing those since rentals are given out on a first come first serve basis.)
Rentals & Equipment:
Konkel Ice rink provides FREE ice skate rentals on a first come first serve basis. It is recommended that you bring your own skates if possible.
A limited number of FREE skate aids are available on a first come first served basis for beginning skaters or people who would like some extra assistance.
COVID-19 Precautions: By signing up for the DSAW Meet-Up at Konkel Ice Rink, you are agreeing to comply with any precautions DSAW or Konkel Ice Rink may take regarding COVID-19. Precautions for this event include all participants over 2 years of age wearing a face mask and maintaining social distancing.
Face coverings/masks required in the warming area, when not eating or drinking, and on the ice. Masks not supplied so you must bring your own (CDC: Your Guide To Masks).
Social Distancing: Participants and guardians are required to keep 6 ft of distance between themselves and participants outside of their household (CDC: Social Distancing)
Due to COVID, there is a limit of 30 people on the ice at a time. There is a rink monitor, making sure this precaution is enforced and that everyone gets a turn.
