This pilot playgroup offers children ages 6 months to five years with Down syndrome, their parents, and caregivers the opportunity to have fun and learn in a friendly environment that promotes language, early literacy, and social & emotional development.
Playgroups include circle time, peer-to-peer socialization, games, toys, and more. Activities are presented using sign and spoken language. While interacting with their children, parents can share their stories, experiences, and advice with other parents of young children with Down syndrome.
This program is open to children with Down syndrome and their parent/guardian to learn sign language and have social interaction/play time with other children.
Class size is limited and a minimum of 5 families need to sign up in order to hold this class.
Cost is $20 per participant. Please see attached registration form to sign up for the class and pay the registration fee to Hand-N-Hand.
