In this webinar, we will discuss the basics of IRIS. We will cover what IRIS is and the responsibilities of self direction. We will also cover how to develop goals and outcomes in order to create service authorizations to help individuals achieve a meaningful life. 

The presenter will be Kevin Fech from Connections, an IRIS Consultant Agency of Lutheran Social Services of Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. Kevin is also the father of an individual with a dual diagnosis of Down syndrome and Autism, and he has served with DSAW in a variety of ways. Kevin became active with the Down Syndrome Association of Wisconsin (DSAW) when his son was first born.  He was a Board member of DSAW, rising to Board President on the DSAW Golf Committee during the early years of the Tom Pipines Golf Classic.  Kevin served as Board Chair for two years on the Wisconsin Board for People with Development Disabilities. Kevin has a strong belief that individuals are not defined by their disability or the services they receive, but instead by who they are in their community.
