Are you looking for a Day Camp this summer where your child can have fun and continue to build valuable skills? DSAW’s Tween Respite Day Camp is a fun, week-long day camp for individuals with Down syndrome ages 10 through 16*. The camp will involve exciting activities, theme-days, mini field-trips, and will incorporate the topics of wellness, reading/literacy, and social interaction throughout the week. If you are in search of a place for your child to have fun, spend time with friends, and build valuable skills... DSAW Tween Respite Day Camp is the place to go!
WHO: DSAW is looking for participants that meet the following requirements:
- Ages 10-16* with Down syndrome
- Able to make safe choices while working with peers
- Can attend lessons without causing disruption
- One-on-one support is not required

WHEN: June 11th - June 15th from 9:00am - 4:00pm
Drop off time: 8:00am - 9:00am
Pick up time: 4:00pm - 5:00pm
WHERE: DSAW, 11709 W Cleveland Ave, Suite 2, West Allis, WI 53227.
COST: Camp will be $350 for the week. DSAW Members pay $300 for the week.
DSAW will be unable to accept funding for benefits this year. However, cost should not be a barrier for any families - we will offer need-based scholarships upon request. To discuss funding options, contact Rachel (rachel@dsaw.org).
While signing up please notify us of any allergies and medical concerns that your child may have.
Teacher to student ratio will be no more than 4:1, although most often it will be 2:1. Please note that while basic personal care will be provided (making sure kids can button their pants, wash their hands, etc.), we are not equipped to administer medicine, directly assist with toileting, etc. Campers should be toilet trained with minimal reminders or assistance with fastening.
