George and his family have been involved with DSAW for over 15 years. Over the years, George has attended DSAW community events, Tween Club, summer camps, and has learned to self-advocate by attending several of DSAW’s online classes.
He loves the circle of friends he has met and enjoys typical teen activities like attending dances, sleepovers, watching movies, or just hanging out (while playing on their phones). Not only has George made wonderful friends but his mother has as well.
Kristi, George's mother shared, “DSAW has been a godsend to us. I don’t know what we would have done without this organization. DSAW has given George and our family such strong fraternal support and a community that is always there to help lift us up when needed.”
